The Human Engineering Research Laboratories is looking for manual wheelchair users to participate in a research study.

We are looking for people between the ages of 18 and 65 that have a spinal cord injury below the T2 level and who use a manual wheelchair as their main mobility.  We are investigating the relationship between wheelchair propulsion and nerve function.  If you agree to participate, we will ask you to come to our lab for various evaluations including, a physical examination, completion of a questionnaire, an ultrasound evaluation of your arm, an evaluation of how you propel your wheelchair, and possibly nerve conduction studies.  The testing is expected to take about 4 hours and you will be reimbursed $100 for your participation. Your participation in this study is strictly voluntary. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

If you would like to participate or have questions please contact one of the Clinical Coordinators, Annmarie or Rosi, at (412) 365-4850 .
